Hello, I'm Jared.
I'm a Midwest-based developer and designer who enjoys building small, dependable systems — from Linux environments and CLI tooling to SvelteKit sites, visual systems, and AI-assisted workflows.
How I work
I care a lot about clarity, thoughtful defaults, and the feeling of using something that's been carefully put together. Most of my work blends code and design: shaping tools that behave predictably, look considered, and stay out of your way once they're in place. When AI is in the loop, I treat it like a collaborator: guided by constraints, reviewed for correctness, and integrated with care.
I gravitate toward fewer moving parts, strong foundations, and workflows that can be trusted over a long stretch of time.
